The BEST Note Identification Games in the UNIVERSE!
The Meridee Winters Piano Games have favorites at our flagship Philadelphia area school for years. The Notequest Note Reading Drills and Activities collection features colorful pages of vibrant, effective and FUN piano note reading games. They are great way to strengthen note identification and sight reading skills, since piano students are not just intellectually learning the tried and true mnemonic devices (“Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge”, etc.) but drilling and internalizing all of the individual notes as well.
These note identification games can be played in a variety of ways, from the most popular option – timing yourself on the page and trying the beat a previous record – to the teacher naming a note and a student finding each occurrence on the “planet.”
This collection also includes templates for making your own planets, so you can custom tailor your version to your music students’ needs, and of course… have fun!
